Fancy working at the Spanish City dome?

JOBS UP FOR GRABS AS LANDMARK VENUE GETS SET FOR SUMMER OPENING

ALMOST 100 jobs are up for grabs at the new Spanish City dome in Whitley Bay.

The landmark, which is being refurbishe­d and is due to open in the summer, will have restaurant­s, bars, cafes and space for functions and conference­s.

Now a recruitmen­t event has been organised to help take on staff to work at the site.

It will take place at Whitley Bay Library, York Road, on Friday from 1.30pm to 7pm and Saturday from 1.30pm to 5pm.

Anyone interested is invited to drop in at any time with no need to book an appointmen­t. There are 99 jobs available. The roles include: Trenchers Fish and Chip restaurant: Restaurant manager Assistant managers Supervisor­s Bar and waiting staff

Spanish City Waffle & Pancake House: Supervisor­s Waiting and counter staff St Mary’s Lighthouse Suite (conference and banqueting): Assistant manager Banqueting supervisor­s Banqueting bar and waiting staff

1910 restaurant and Champagne Bar: Head bar people and mixologist­s Head waiter/waitress Bar and waiting staff

Valerie’s Tearoom: Manager Assistant manager Supervisor­s Waiting and counter staff

General roles: Venue administra­tor Cleaners Maintenanc­e staff Apprentice customer service

Kitchen-based roles: Sous chef Head chef – pasty based Chef de partie - pastry based Chef de partie Commis chef Trenchers range chef/ fryer Apprentice chef
