PIN POINT JUNIOR LG U-17/U-18 DIVISIONS

STAKEFORD Juniors beat Ponteland United Panthers 1-0 in the Under-17s’ Premiershi­p, George Lees on target.

In Division One, Burradon Juniors remained undefeated with a win over North Shields Juniors Athletic - Charlie Bews with a hat-trick for Burradon.

Ryton and Crawcrook Albion kept the pressure on at the top with a win over Blyth Rangers Deportivo.

In Division Two, league leaders Morpeth Town remained undefeated but were made to work for their victory over Newburn Park – Simon Farrer netting the only goal of the game.

Elsewhere there were wins for Kingston Park, Walker Central and Prudhoe YC, Lemington and Ashington Town playing out a 2-2 draw.

In the Under-17 NFA North East Youth Division Cup Premiershi­p Cramlingto­n Juniors had just enough to beat their cross-town rivals Cramlingto­n Town Yellows 2-1 to set up a final against Stakeford. ■■CULLERCOAT­S Under-18s secured a third-place finish by beating fifth-place Newburn Park 4-0 away from home in the only game in the Ray Knight League.

League leaders Forest Hall were in League Cup action against Ryton and Crawcrook Albion – securing a 3-1 win and a place in the final against North Shields Juniors Athletic.

In Sub League One, Cramlingto­n Juniors celebrated a 2-0 victory over North Shields Juniors Athletic.

In Sub League Two there were successes for Prudhoe YC and North Shields Juniors Under-17s, the latter winning in a 6-5 thriller – Thomas Baldwin netting twice for Shields with Seaton Delaval’s Jack Mullen claiming a hat-trick. ■■PONTELAND United PSG beat Blue Flames 5-0 at the quarterfin­al stages of the Under-16 Cup.

Wallsend Boys Club secured a path to the final with a 3-2 penalty shoot-out victory at Ashington CFC.
