Nightmare neighbour who ignored warnings is evicted

-

A NIGHTMARE neighbour who played loud music through the night has been evicted.

Numerous complaints were made about Andrew Leach shouting, singing loudly and slamming doors at the property on Handel Street, South Shields.

As well as playing loud music, it was also alleged the 28-year-old threatened his neighbours.

South Tyneside Homes’ Community Safety and Tenancy Enforcement Team had received numerous complaints about his behaviour since July 2017.

Despite receiving several warnings about his conduct, Mr Leach failed to change his ways and was removed from the property.

A spokesman for South Tyneside Council said: “Eviction is always a last resort but it is important to send a clear message that we will not tolerate anti-social behaviour.

“We will continue to take a firm stance with those people who breach their tenancy conditions and make the lives of those around them a misery.”
