PAUL O’GRADY FOR THE LOVE OF DOGS: INDIA ITV, 8.30pm

DOG lover Paul O’Grady is so in love with India that he wants to move there.

He also wants to hire a big van and drive all the needy mutts back to his farmhouse in Kent.

But with neither of those things that simple, he has had to make do with this brief adventure that sees him muck in at Delhi’s Friendicoes animal shelter.

You don’t even have to be a fan of dogs to enjoy this – there’s a humour and charm to it as Paul turns full-on doggy nursemaid.

This time he meets an abandoned young street pup called Toto, whose ears are badly infected.

Paul also tries to work his magic with perhaps the naughtiest dog in Delhi – a boisterous Labrador.

There’s also an elderly dog called Bozo with tick fever, caused by blood sucking parasites. It gets emotional as Paul tells him: “Don’t you give up, do you hear?”

PRINCE HARRY’S STORY: FOUR ROYAL WEDDINGS ITV, 9pm

YES, it’s another royal wedding-themed documentary – but this one is surprisingly emotional and endearing.

It charts Prince Harry’s life, from little lost boy to war hero, from the devastating grief of losing his mother Princess Diana, to active service as a soldier in Afghanistan, to his charity work and now the love story with actress Meghan Markle – who of course, we all know he is marrying on May 19.

There are some wonderful clips, from a four-year-old Harry sticking his tongue out at photographers on the school run, to jumping the gun to race Usain Bolt and playing with a baby at a sporting event.

“He can reach parts of the public that Prince Charles and Prince William can’t reach,” observes one of the many commentators here.

With behind-closed-doors insight from friends, family and royal staff, this is a reminder of the nation’s huge affection for the “Heineken Prince”.
