Inhuman to treat Assange this way

-

WE pride ourselves on being a free open and fair society but the way we are treating Julian Assange is diabolical.

All he has done was to explain to the world some of the devious goings-on behind the public’s back. The Americans have said they want to jail him because he has risked American lives.

Not a single American life has been recorded over the past six years but no doubt if they get hold of him he will spend at least 35 years in jail.

We are preventing him from leaving the Ecuadorian embassy because he has jumped bail when Sweden wanted to arrest him for alleged rape. This allegation has been dropped but we are still going to arrest him if he leaves the embassy and then send him to America.

We have spent something like £12m guarding the embassy over the last six years. Why? Because we are poodles to the Americans.

What we are doing to Julian is shameful but we continue to suck up to America. Regretfully, Ecuadorian sympathy towards him is disappearing and he is no longer able to access the internet, the only access he had to the outside world, friends and supporters.

He is now living in solitary confinement with the threat of being deported to America. We in the meantime do nothing except continue to guard the embassy 24/7 at a cost of thousands each month.
