Swalwell Cant take visit of Dale lightly

-

SWALWELL will look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at Shotley Bridge.

However, they face a difficult Division One task as they host unbeaten Tynedale.

Swalwell narrowly won this fixture last year, despite a halfcentury and three wickets by Tom Cant, who leads an unchanged Tynedale side for the third game running.

The Bridge, with two successive maximum-point victories under their belt, aim for a third success at Lanchester.

Percy Main make the trip to Stocksfield as both sides look to secure their first win of the season.

Both Newcastle City and Ashington aim for a second victory, as do Lintz who host Consett.

TOMORROW’S DIVISION ONE FIXTURES: Lanchester v Shotley Bridge, Lintz v Consett, Newcastle City v Ashington, Ryton v Alnmouth and Lesbury, Stocksfield v Percy Main, Swalwell v Tynedale.

■■UNBEATEN records are on the line in Division Two at Ponteland, who host Leadgate tomorrow.

Stuart Taylor returns for Ponteland, as do Paul Lindsay, Ifi Fazal and Ben Harris - but Neil Stanley is unavailable.

Blyth, searching for their first win of the season, make the short trip to Bates Cottages.

Blyth make two changes from the side which lost against Ponteland with Cameron Walker and Gary Cotterill coming in - but they will be without the services of Andy Ebdale tomorrow.

Morpeth, who have yet to drop a point, will seek to continue their good start against Alnwick while Bedlington will look to make it three from three also as welcome Greenside.

TOMORROW’S DIVISION TWO FIXTURES: Bates Cottages v Blyth, Bedlington v Greenside, Cowgate v Annfield Plain, Ponteland v Leadgate, Seaton Burn v Tillside, Morpeth v Alnwick.
