1 KAJAKI Tonight, BBC2, 10pm

TRUE story of heroism and self-sacrifice in Helmand Province in Afghanista­n in 2006. A small unit of soldiers is stationed at the Kajaki Dam under the command of Corporal Mark Wright (David Elliot). A three-man patrol heads out to disable a Taliban roadblock. Lance Stuart Hale (Benjamin O’Mahony), detonates a land mine, blowing off his leg. Fellow soldiers including medic Paul “Tug” Hartley (Mark Stanley) and Corporal Stuart Pearson (Scott Kyle) race to his aid but find themselves trapped in an unmarked minefield from the Russian invasion of the 1980s. With no obvious way out, the soldiers must work together to survive.

2 MEGAMIND Tomorrow, Channel 4, 2.30pm

COMPUTER animated adventure. Megamind, left (voiced by Will Ferrell), embarks on a lifelong rivalry with dashing hunk Metro Man (Brad Pitt), who gets all the applause – and the girls. When one of Megamind’s elaborate plans comes to fruition, and Metro Man is destroyed, the villain prepares to take charge of Metro City. However, life is dull without a hero to scheme against.

3 THE BOURNE IDENTITY Monday, ITV4, 9pm

THE franchise got off to an impressive start with this film, starring Matt Damon, left, as an amnesiac found by fisherman in the sea, riddled with bullets. Four hired killers, including wily assassin The Professor (Clive Owen), are despatched to terminate the rogue agent who goes on the run with a beautiful stranger called Marie (Franka Potente). A gripping spy thriller.

4 NED KELLY Tuesday, Sony Movie Channel, 9pm

EPIC film about the Australian folk hero. Aged 16, Ned (Heath Ledger, left) is falsely accused of stealing a horse and sentenced to four years behind bars. On release, Ned is wrongly accused again, this time of attempted murder. Ned, his brother and two of his friends escape and form the Kelly Gang. Superinten­dent Hare (Geoffrey Rush) is appointed to bring the outlaws to justice.

5 HERCULES Wednesday, ITV2, 9pm

SWORD-AND-SANDALS romp. Hercules (Dwayne Johnson, left) has completed his 12 labours, and roams the land as a mercenary, accompanie­d by a band of fellow travellers. Lord Cotys (John Hurt), ailing King of Thrace, promises Hercules and his company their weight in gold if they can turn his farm hands into an army and end a war with rebel leader Rhesus (Tobias Santelmann).

6 THE FACE OF LOVE Thursday, Sony Movie Channel, 12.50pm

INTERIOR designer Nikki (Annette Bening, left) is celebratin­g her 30th anniversar­y with husband Garrett (Ed Harris), when tragedy strikes. As she comes to terms with her devastatin­g loss, Nikki happens upon divorced painter Tom (Harris again), who is the spitting image of her late spouse. Obsessed with the doppelgang­er, Nikki goes out of her way to romance Tom.

7 BURIED Friday, BBC1, 11.55pm

TRUCK driver Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds, left) is attacked during a convoy run in Iraq and wakes inside a coffin. With no obvious way out, Paul discovers a mobile phone with a weak signal and calls for help. As anxiety takes hold, Paul discovers that terrorists have placed him in the box and want a $5m ransom. Buried wrings every drop of tension from a simple dramatic set-up.
