THE £100K DROP Channel 4, 4pm

IN times of austerity and Brexit, even our game shows are taking a hit! The Million Pound Drop was axed in 2015 but now it’s back, with Davina McCall still at the helm, slightly (OK, a lot) poorer than it once was, but still as entertaining and tense as before.

It might not be a million, but the sight of £100,000 in ten pound notes is not to be sniffed at. And the contestants are just as keen to get their hands on it.

Davina, with her usual puppy-dog levels of enthusiasm (she screams “I’m excited!” a lot), reminds us of the game.

Contestants must answer seven multiple choice questions, frantically move around bundles of money, and hope that none drops through a trap door.

Addictive as ever, this is a welcome addition to the daytime schedules.

COPS UK: BODYCAM SQUAD REALLY, 9pm

EVERY response cop in Nottinghamshire has been given a body camera to capture evidence and nail offenders.

Returning for a third run, this gritty series takes us up close and personal – sometimes a little too close for comfort – as the police go on the front lines.

With Nottinghamshire police attending around 500 incidents a day, anything can (and does) happen, from drownings to collisions, brawls and drugs raids.

This time we witness a vicious assault on an officer, PC Dan Weaver. Left bloody and bruised, he says: “It’s not often that people show that level of violence towards us.”

Elsewhere, a neighbourhood is evacuated after a man threatens to set fire to his mother’s house.

And there’s a heartbreaking domestic violence issue, with a man telling police that his ex girlfriend keeps hitting him.
