CHAMPIONS Newcastle University continued their title-winning celebrations with a 10-0 win on the road at a depleted Seaton Delaval.

Tom Woodier helped himself to five as the Students led by four at the break, Callum Horn also netting in the first half.

After the break, as Woodier completed his five with a brace, there were also counters for Olly Walden, Keith Douglas and Conrad Zylko before an own-goal five minutes from time rubbed salt into Delaval’s wounds.

Second-placed Birtley and fifthplace Wallington also went goal crazy on the road - the former winning 7-1 at Newbiggin and the latter defeating hosts FC United of Newcastle 9-0.

Newbiggin took the lead when hosting the runners-up, Bradley Higgins netting after 17 minutes.

However, strikes from James Alsopp, Tony Smith and Jack Honour had Birtley ahead at the break.

The second half continued in much the same vein as Smith added his second of the afternoon along with efforts from Logan Powell, Cameron Wood and Andy Hall.

At FC United, Jordan Nellis compounded the hosts’ misery with a five-goal haul of his own. He opened the scoring after just five minutes the only counter of the first half.

Then, after Thomas Truscott made it two just after the hour, Nellis put the game to bed by adding his second and bagging a five-minute hattrick to take his tally to five with 15 minutes to go.

Truscott then notched his second and there were further finishes from Aiden Armstrong and Kyle Reardon late on to complete the rout.

Whitley Bay A enjoyed a 3-0 home win over Gateshead Rutherford, Jack Cooper opening the scoring in the first half before a 35-yard effort from Carl Collins double the lead on the hour and James Cocker completed the scoring a few minutes later.
