Meghan’s secret weapon for great hair

-

AS WE wait eagerly to see whether Meghan Markle, below, wears her hair up or down for her wedding to Prince Harry this weekend, one man knows a thing or two about what it takes to get her bouncy waves.

International session stylist Jon Chapman, tended to the hair of the blushing bride-to-be for a trip to Wimbledon. And he says a special towel is his secret weapon for princess-worthy hair.

Jon, who also tends to the likes of Amber Heard and Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown’s hair, says: “The Aquis Hair Towel makes hair far easier to style, as it reduces frizz, breakages and tangles. Simply wrap hair in the towel after washing it and leave to work its magic. Once removed, I then apply a heat protecting volumising spray and a nourishing serum into midlengths and ends, so heat can now be applied (don’t blast soaking wet hair with a hairdryer as this will cause frizz). “Next, separate hair into four fairly large sections and clip all but one out of the way. From the remaining section, take a 2” section of hair and wrap around a curling tong. Hold until the hair feels warm, up to 10 seconds, then release. Repeat for the whole head, taking varying widths of hair to avoid it looking too ‘done’. Part hair off-centre and tip all the curls to one side.

“Then, use a wide bristle brush to transform the curls into bouncy waves. Spritz with a light styling hairspray to add extra buoyancy that lasts all day.”

AQUIS Hair Towels & Hair Turbans (£30) and Long Hair Towels (£35) come in white, stormy sky, cloudy berry, desert rose or chevron designs and are available from feelunique.com, lookfantastic.com, spacenk.com, qvcuk.com and HQHair.com
