Ant’s final TV appearance of year has fans moved to tears
Reporter FANS of Ant McPartlin were moved to tears as the Britain’s Got Talent host appeared on TV for the last time this year.
The 42-year-old presenter has been seen during the BGT auditions, which were recorded before his drink-drive arrest.
But the live shows will be presented solely by his pal Declan Donnelly after co-star Ant announced he would be stepping away from presenting for the foreseeable future.
This comes after Ant was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months when he admitted drink-driving following a three-car collision on April 16.
Ant returned to rehab just three days after the crash.
On Saturday, his fans flocked to Twitter to express their devastation at not being able to see him on TV for the rest of the year.
One tweeted: “So today will be the last time we see Ant and Dec on TV together for who knows how long, we’ve got to treasure this #BGT episode.” While another commented: “It’s just hit me that this is the last time we’ll see Ant and Dec together on BGT this year #BritainsGotTalent A fan #bgt2018 #BGT.”
A third wrote: “Why am I getting emotional already because it’s the last time we’ll see Ant and Dec on tele together for who knows how long #bgt.”
“I love Anthony McPartlin with my whole heart. I love him endlessly. Hope to see ya soon kidda. Take as long as you need. I’ll be right here waiting. Love you Ant @antanddec #antanddec #bgt,” another said.
One commented: “I miss Ant sooo much. But I hope you are doing well because your health is the most important thing. I hope you’re ok too Dec. Good luck next week, I’m sure you’ll smash it like you did on Takeaway @antanddec @BGT #BGT.”
Another posted: “I can’t believe that I’m actually crying. I’m feeling so emotional. #BGT I’m gonna miss Ant. #SupportingAnt.”
And one fan added: “We are all going to miss you Ant. Come back stronger! Everyone is behind you!”
