FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER (Channel 4, 10pm)

IT’S the last in the current series of this consistently funny sitcom, but let’s hope it’s not too long before we receive another dinner invitation.

Having said that the ‘boys’ would probably let us take their place this week, as they are being forced to assemble a wooden shelf for Mum’s (Tamsin Greig) old books and folders after Dad (Paul Ritter) proved he wasn’t up to the job.

And if they don’t manage it, they won’t be getting any crumble.

Meanwhile, Jonny (Tom Rosenthal) winds Adam (Simon Bird) up about an important call he is expecting from America, and Jim (Mark Heap) is getting on everyone’s nerves because he keeps letting his dog use their flowerbed as a toilet.
