BY CAR: On the northbound A19, one lane is closed on exit slip road due to roadworks at the A182 in Cold Hesledon. Lane one (of two) is closed until today.

One lane of the A19 in each direction is closed between the A1018 junction and the B1283 junction in Seaton, because of roadworks.

The A189 Killingworth Road in Newcastle is closed between West Farm Avenue and A191 Benton Park Road/Freeman Road.

The A184 Felling Bypass either side of Heworth roundabout in Gateshead is down to a single lane.

Speed restrictions are in place due to roadworks on the A19 and A1058 at the Silverlink roundabout. BY BUS: Newgate Street in Newcastle is closed until June 22 between Clayton Street and Gallowgate as the road is widened – buses will not stop on this road.

Bus stops on Cherry Blossom Way and Nissan Way in Washington are out of use. Routes 56 and 56A are diverted from Washington Road via Spire Road.

Worm Hill Terrace, Washington, will be closed for utility works until Sunday. Go North East service 2A will divert between Biddick Lane and Fatfield Bridge via Biddick Lane and Bonemill Lane. Service 4 will divert between Fallowfield Way and Fatfield Bridge via Biddick Lane and Bonemill Lane. Service X1A will divert between Bonemill Lane and Fallowfield Way via Biddick Lane. Nexus service 83A will divert via Fallowfield Way and Biddick Lane.

Mount Lane, Springwell village, is closed at Springwell Road until tomorrow for flood alleviation works. Route 23 is diverted via Springwell Road, B1288 and Eighton Road. Passengers from Mount Lane should use stops on Springwell Road or Rockcliffe Way. BY METRO No planned works. BY TRAIN: No planned works.
