GOING SWIMMINGLY

JOHN LEWIS has launched a new range of men’s swim shorts that combine beachside style with an eco-conscience.

The pieces in the 18-strong collection are made from 100% recycled polyester derived from plastic bottles. It takes 13 bottles to make each pair.

The store collaborated with recycled fibre experts Repreve to create the eco-friendly fabric, with John Lewis’ in-house design team creating the stylish prints; from toucans to pineapples and prints to embroidery. All designs are available in store and online now, priced £32-£40.

THEY’RE ALL RIGHT JACK

BRITISH luxury menswear brand Patria has launched a sweatshirt and T-shirt designed exclusively for Father’s Day (June 17).

Featuring Patria’s logo Jack – an Airedale Terrier famed for crawling two miles through no-man’s land to deliver a message that rescued a battalion during the First World War – and his pup, both pieces are designed and manufactured in the UK using only the best fabrics. The sweater is £99 and the T-shirt £40 and 10% of profits go to three charities for veterans: ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, The Royal Marines Royal Navy Charity and the RAF Benevolent Fund.
