OUR TESTERS GIVE THEIR VERDICT ON FIVE SPECIALIST HAIRBRUSHES

-

Babyliss Copper Half Barrell Brush,

£11.99: “I’m a fan of anything that saves time in the morning – and this does. Half of the brush is vented, allowing hot hairdryer air to pass through and heat up the copper side. My hair dried quicker and looked bouncier. Win win.”

ghd Oval Dressing

Brush, £20: “These special bristles give hair a smoother, less fluffy finish. I love it for brushing out waves – it doesn’t ruin the shape of them. If I have time in the morning I’ll use it to give myself a mini blow-dry, and the finish is always more professional than my usual blast-and-go.”

WetBrush Shower

Flex, £11.99: “The curved handle of this is genius as the brush doesn’t slip out of your hand when it’s covered in conditioner. Makes brushing hair in the shower a much more pleasant task.

“Also, my hair dries so much less tangly when I use this.”

Manta hairbrush,

£25: “Made for women with thinning hair worries, this brush is meant to be as gentle as combing your hair with your fingers. It’s expensive, but it did glide easily through my hair, getting it smooth with minimal brushing and fall-out.”

Andrew Barton Keratin Infusion Vented Radial

Brush, £8: “I’ve got a fringe, so my hair needs more than just a detangler. I’ve been using this to give it some curl, and it works a treat. It’s meant to improve hair elasticity which I’m not sure about, but it does make my ends feel softer.”
