MORPETH put their promotion bid back on track after easing to a nine-wicket home victory over Bedlington.
Jack Concannon (4-39) and Cam MacKay (3-17) helped to bowl out Bedlington for 131, Kevin Harnett offering the only real resistance with 54.
Morpeth’s Paul Johnston made a rapid 44 before opening partner James Sander went on to finish 61 not out.
He hit nine fours and a six and with David Rutherford (23 not out) enabled Morpeth to quickly reach 132-1 and end their run of successive defeats since topping the table.
Leaders Leadgate triumphed at home against bottom side Blyth by seven wickets.
David Ebdale contributed 60 but Blyth were dismissed for just 119 - Lee Innes cleaning up the lower order to finish with 5-4.
Opener Joe Banks hit 42 before Innes (30 not out) helped guide Leadgate to 120-3.
Annfield Plain thrashed Alnwick at home by nine wickets to move into second place.
Alnwick were all back in the pavilion for only 81 as Tyron White (3-11) and Shane Oliver (3-12) quickly wrapped up the innings.
Sam Stephenson finished 42 not out and White eight not out after losing David Newstead for 29 as the hosts eased to 84-1.
Tillside prevailed at Ponteland by eight wickets to keep their promotion hopes alive.
Alan Hindmarsh claimed 5-14 as the hosts posted 134.
Tillside soon reached 137-2, Ross Hindmarsh unbeaten on 55 and Jake Birkett smashing a rapid 34 not out.
Greenside pulled away from the bottom with a 26-run success at Bates Cottages.
Owen Reed was 48 not out in helping the visitors reach 206-8.
Bates replied with 180, Khalil Khan with 3-31.
Seaton Burn came through by 83 runs at Cowgate - Burn 225-9, Cowgate 142.
