Boldon beat Street with the last ball

BOLDON triumphed by two wickets against Chester-leStreet in Division One of the Durham Cricket Board Under-18 League.

The Cestrians finished on 160-3, Scott Robson (50 not out) and Robbie Dawson (30 not out) putting togeher an 88-run partnershi­p.

Boldon reached 161-8 with only one ball to spare, the runs coming from Nathan Hewitt (66), Jacob McCord (26) and Oliver SampsonBar­nes (33).

South Shields batted first against Sacriston, totalling 136-8 with opening batsman and captain Adam May making 29.

Sacriston were unable to match that and finished on 115-4 - Matthew Brown top-scoring with 51.

Ryhope overcame visitors Marsden by 42 runs in Division Two.

The Wearsiders batted first and racked up 127-4 thanks to Jake Liddle (37) and Owen Vaughan (60).

Marsden only managed 85-6 in their innings despite Owen Amess contributi­ng 30.

Felling prevailed against Whiteleas and Harton Welfare.

Batting first, Felling amassed 104-7, Leas 94 all out in reply.

Burnmoor conceded their clash with Castle Eden, as did Peterlee against Whitburn.

In the Tyneside League, Tynedale took on Stocksfiel­d at home and won by six wickets.

Stocksfiel­d posted 93-6 in their innings, opening batsman and captain Jonny Tobin hitting 54 not out.

Tynedale took the points with 97-4 - despite Stocksfiel­d bowlers Matthew Tobin and Aaron Rourke taking two wickets each.

Whickham lost by seven wickets to Ryton.

They batted first, reaching 105-4 with opening batsman Dan Giloney hitting 53.

Ryton secured victory after only 15.5 overs with 111-3, Joe Marshall contributi­ng 31.

In the South West League, Willington triumphed by five wickets at Brandon.

Brandon won the toss and elected to bat but were 91 all out with Jake Dickinson, Conall Marron, Niall Charlton, Daniel Gray and James Million capturing two wickets each.

Willington responded with 92-4, Daniel Nelson hitting 41.
