Washington celebrate a Winn bonus

WASHINGTON hosted Sacriston in the Durham Cricket Board Under-18 League’s Division One.

The visitors batted first and racked up 172-5, Matthew Brown scoring 63, Ben Jackson 34 and Charlie Winn 34.

The home side could only reply with 93-8, opener Ajay Singh Rai making 32 while Winn returned figures of 3-15.

In Division Two, Ryhope defeated Seaham Park.

Seaham batted first and were soon 54 all out, Owen Vaughan claiming 4-2.

Ryhope had the game won after only 5.2 overs when they totalled 57-1 - captain Jake Liddle contributi­ng 40.

Whitburn were beaten at home by Sunderland.

Whitburn batted first and reached 100-3, Ben Markham finishing on 68 not out.

Sunderland attained 101-2 in their reply with runs coming from Jack Johnson (49 not out) and Robbie Potts (48 not out).

Langley Park won against Brandon by an impressive 154 runs in the South West League.,

Park won the toss and elected to bat first, reaching a massive 274-2 declared.

Opening batsman and captain James Coxon scored 202 not out and his innings included 20 fours and 16 sixes off just 67 balls.

Brandon had managed 120-3 by the end of their innings, runs coming from Marcus Aston (34), Jonny Brooks (27), Callum Reid (22) and Jamie Jenkin (25).

Tudhoe overcame Evenwood by 36 runs while Bishop Auckland conceded their clash with Willington. ■■TYNEDALE won the toss and elected to field first in their home Tyneside League game against Lanchester.

The visitors posted 87-3, captain Arran Halliday racking up 54.

Tynedale took the game when they reached 91-1 after only 10 overs - Michael Watts and Euan Stephenson each passing the 30-run mark.

Stocksfiel­d batted first in their game against Burnopfiel­d and made 138-2.

Burnopfiel­d knocked off the required runs in 17.5 overs, ending on 140-2.

Lintz conceded their match with Consett.
