Bay progress in Cup - but suffer a scare

WHITLEY Bay are through to the preliminar­y round of the FA Cup after they held off a brave fightback from Thackley to secure a 3-2 result in West Yorkshire.

Jack Foalle put them ahead on 13 minutes before Peter GlenRavenh­ill doubled their lead midway through the half.
