INSTANT BODY BRONZERS

-

We put four of the newest instant tans to the test

Bondi Sands Glo Gloss FinishingGlow, £9.99

I REALLY love this on my legs. The finish is glossy so it makes my skin look healthy, but it’s a little too glowy to use all over. Great as a skin booster if you already have a base tan, but the colour isn’t dark enough to make me feel really bronzed.

Tan-Luxe Instant Hero, £22

YOU don’t need a mitt for this one, as it has an in-built sponge attached to the bottle. Very clever, until you need to do your back – then it’s impossible to reach. Good for smaller areas, like legs or arms, as it does blur any texture beautifully, and the colour is lovely and natural.

Model Co Instant Tan Self-Tan Lotion Dark, £14

THIS gives an instant bronze shade, but also develops into a lasting tan after 6-8 hours. The dark shade is very dark, which I like, and it goes on easily. The problem is the smell. Because the formula develops, it really has that tell-tale burnt biscuit scent. Nice final colour, though.

Isle Of Paradise Disco Tan Instant Wash-Off Body Bronzer, £14.95

I’m used to slathering on the tan so this wasn’t tricky to apply, but I can see how it might be for beginner tanners. It dries very quickly, so you don’t have much time to buff it in. But it doesn’t feel sticky, the smell is fresh and pleasant, and it doesn’t smudge on clothes. Lovely.
