REIGNING Division One champions Consett Scotch Arms suffered a setback as they faltered at home to Consett Cricketers Ex-Juniors.

Goals from Michael Robson, Michael Hall and Jon Wright guided Cricketers to a 3-1 victory, Dan Walker hitting Scotch’s consolation.

Two counters from Jordan Phillips and strikes from David Wansell, James Watson and Keith Watson earned Blackhall Mill and Chopwell a 5-2 win at Craghead Legion, who had Liam Orr and Liam Ridley on target.

Reece Hutchinson proved the difference for South Moor Sports as his effort secured his side a narrow 1-0 success over Lanchester Cricket Club.

Consett The Barn and Winlaton Crown and Cannon shared four goals.

Finishes from Zak Atkinson and Liam Dempsey for hosts the Barn were cancelled out by goals from Davis Dodds and Paul NewtonEddy.

EAST Stanley WMC’s eye-catching start to the new season continued as they hit double figures against Castleside Horse and Groom.
