BY CAR

Killingwor­th Road, Gosforth, is closed between South Gosforth roundabout and West Farm Avenue until 2019 to widen the road.

A19 in both directions closed due to roadworks during the night from A184 (Testo’s Roundabout, Boldon Business Park) to A194 Leam Lane (Lindisfarn­e Roundabout, Boldon Colliery).

BY BUS

Blackett Street, Newcastle (through Old Eldon Square) will be closed to traffic each weekend until Sunday, 2 September, as well as on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August.

Killingwor­th Road, Gosforth, is closed between South Gosforth Roundabout and West Farm Avenue until (approx) summer 2019 to widen the road. Routes 18, 18A, 38, 54, 118, X7, X8 & X63 are diverted via Four Lane Ends.

Part of Elswick Road will be closed overnight from Tuesday, 28 August - 1 September for resurfacin­g from 7pm to 6am the next morning. Routes 30 and 31 will be diverted and so unable to serve stops on Rye Hill and Elswick Road, between the Discovery Museum and St John’s Road. Passengers should use stops at the Discovery Museum, Rye Hill House on Westmorlan­d Road or Adelaide Terrace shops instead. Route 32A will be diverted and miss stops on Rye Hill, the east end of Elswick Road and Westmorlan­d Road. Passengers should use stops on Westmorlan­d Road near St Michael’s Church.
