Health Lottery to launch new Mega Raffle

-

THE Health Lottery is to launch a new monthly £250,000 Mega Raffle tomorrow .

Punters will be given the chance to win the jackpot while also supporting local health causes, with over £100m raised so far.

Martin Ellice of the Health Lottery said: “This Saturday’s first ever £250,000 Mega Raffle is momentous for The Health Lottery.

“This is why we want more players than ever before. All of our work here at The Health Lottery has one specific purpose: to raise more money for those local charities who need it the most. The more people take part, the more help we can provide.”

To win the Mega Raffle, players pay £1 a line and choose five numbers between 1 and 50.

For each line purchased in the main Health Lottery draw in each of their five draws a week, the player also receives one entry into that month’s Mega Raffle.

After years of being a loyal Health Lottery player Martyn, 58, from Swindon was shocked to find out he had scooped a £49,535 jackpot prize.

He said: “My first reaction was that I couldn’t believe it.”

The Health Lottery is an independent British lottery scheme. It manages 12 regional lotteries across Great Britain.

Each month, the money raised is allocated to one of those regions in rotation. This means across the year, every area of England, Scotland and Wales gets a share of the funds raised.

You can buy tickets at www. healthlottery.co.uk or from retailers including Post Office, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Morrison’s, McColls and WH Smith.
