MICK’S IN THE FIRING LINE

-

DESPITE everything he’s put them through, the Carters are initially relieved to learn that the doctors are going to wake Stuart up, as it means he can tell the police what really happened on the night of the shooting.

However, they may be left wishing he’d stayed unconscious indefinitely as, when Halfway visits his brother he is shocked to discover him claiming it was Mick who shot him.

The pub landlord briefly considers doing a runner, before realising there’s no way out – and when Stuart’s daughter, Zara, corroborates his story, the police come for Mick and it seems as though he could be looking at a long spell in jail...

And with Mick safely out of the way, will Stuart leave the rest of the Carter family alone – well, what do you think?

Meanwhile, the Slaters receive a couple of blasts from the past as Stacey meets up with her old mate Ruby, who invites her to take a night off from domestic drudgery. As if she’s likely to turn the opportunity down – the kids have a vomiting bug and she’s spent the day at the launderette.

Elsewhere, Hayley is reunited with her mum Bev.

Hayley is desperate for reassurance that she can be a good mother, but it seems Bev may not be the one to provide it as she doesn’t even seem that concerned when her daughter fears she’s losing the baby.

And Kush is furious that Sophie is still hanging around, but Carmel remains determined to help her.
