BY CAR A189 Killingworth Road in both directions closed due to major roadworks between West Farm Avenue and Freeman Road.
BY BUS Killingworth Road, Gosforth, is closed between South Gosforth Roundabout and West Farm Avenue until (approx) summer 2019 to widen the road. Routes 18, 18A, 38, 54, 218, X7, X8 & X63 are diverted via Four Lane Ends.
Route 19 through Percy Main will be diverted after 7pm on Monday and Tuesday, 24-25 September, and then on Thursday and Friday 27-28 September (on these latter two dates continuing until 6am the next morning). Buses will divert via the A187 to Howdon Road, stop in Nelson Terrace for Percy Main Metro, St John’s Road then normal route.
BY METRO No planned works
BY TRAIN Engineering work is taking place at various points on the TransPennine Express service overnight from Monday, September 24 until Friday, 28 September, closing some lines.
In order to improve reliability, London North Eastern Railway are running an amended timetable until December 8, 2018.
