Rowe spells double trouble for the Vue

LAST season’s champions Belle Vue dropped their first points of the season, going down 2-1 at Whickham Coachman.

Scott Heslop scored for Belle Vue but Gregor Rowe came off the bench to grab both goals for tThe Coachies.

Leam Lane WMC remain top of the table after a 4-0 win at Fiddlers Three.

It was goalless at half time but two goals from Connor Halpin, and one each from Adam Byron and Peter Mulholland, maintained Leam’s 100% start to the season.

Thomas Wilson were 4-1 victors at Birtley The Hanlon thanks to a hat-trick from Ricky Fenwick.

Neil Davison also registered for The Wilson, Logan Powell replying for Birtley.

In Division One, A1 Allerdene sit top of the table thanks to a 4-2 result at early pace-setting rivals Whickham Bay Horse.

The hosts took the lead through Lewis Mckie before A1 hit back with strikes from Lewis Munro and Louis Tiplady.

Bay Horse equalized thanks to a Reece Boyd strike but two late counters from Tiplady - with his second - and Joe Turnbull sealed the points.

Nursery House recorded their highest ever win by beating Inter XI 18-0.

Paul Garthwaite hit the net on seven occasions with Elliott Hancock adding a treble. David Reay and David Boyle both bagged braces, the others from Ciaran Leyland, Robert Allen, George Foster and Craig Bates.

Saltwell SC were 3-2 victors over Gateshead Three Tuns with Meechack Kanda, Martin Baker and Kieran Molloy all on target.

A Gary Lindsay double was not enough for The Tuns.

Holmeside triumphed 13-1 against Ryton and Crawcrook.

Daniel Freeman hit three, with Carl Foster, Callum Broadhead, Dan Baird and Brett Dodds all netting twice. A Liam Sellars effort and an own goal completed the scoring.
