Ross is losing no sleep over the sacking of Ndong and Djilobodji

-

JACK Ross feels no emotion at seeing AWOL duo Didier Ndong and Papy Djilobodji cut adrift by Sunderland,

Djilobodji was sent packing a fortnight ago while Ndong was given the news on Monday.

Manager Ross backs the stance taken by owner Stewart Donald and, having only taken the reins in the summer, he has therefore never worked with either player.

As such, he does not see their exits as a cloud lifting on Wearside.

“Not for me,” he said when asked that question.

“It is very simple for me. I have never had any interaction with either of them, no dialogue with either of them, and I have not worked with them for one single day on the training pitch.

“So I can be quite emotionless about it because it has never impacted on what I was doing.

“I know people will believe it was some kind of burden for the club to have but it has never affected what we have done on the pitch. The great thing for me is the owners have been in alignment with my thinking.

“They have never said, ‘This player is coming back.’ They were disappointed with their conduct and they have acted accordingly.

“How it now pans out we will see in the fullness of time but it has never affected me in any way and I have just concentrated on what I had here.”
