Have fun with us while raising cash to help animals

-

WE’RE nearly one week away from our night time do at Forest Hall Social Club which is happening on Saturday, October 20, 7pm until 11pm, so if you don’t have your tickets already, get in touch with us by calling 0191 215 0435 to reserve yours.

Tickets are only £5 per person and all of the proceeds from ticket sales go towards looking after the animals in our care.

It is going to be a brilliant night for a great cause as we are now more than ever, in need of monetary funds to keep the charity running as we rely on your donations.

This week we’ll be at Pets at Home in Byker on Saturday between 11am and 4pm to chat about the work we do, and at Sainsbury’s in Forest Hall on Sunday, 3pm-7pm.

We will have some of our merchandise with us including hoodies, t-shirts and wristbands but we’ll also have our charity night tickets so if you’d like a ticket and are in those areas then, pop by and we can sort you out.

Let’s not forget about our annual Halloween party on Saturday, October 27, 1.30pm until 3.30pm at our Benton North Farm shelter.

We’ll have lots of creepy games to play with prizes to be won; our haunted house will of course be back again. It’s free entry and lots of fun for all of the family. Get your costumes on and join in!

A huge thank you to everyone who answered our appeal last week for kitten food, we are so grateful for your support.

This week, we are continuing to appeal for kitten food as we are in need of a constant supply due to the amount we are using as we have had more abandoned kittens and pregnant mums in than ever before. Every donation helps us.

ANIMALS FOR HOMES

MINDY, dog number 206, is approximately aged five or six and arrived with us in August. She is a little diamond with a gentle nature and she is very calm and affectionate.

She loves to curl up and nuzzle into you, however she is still active. Due to her recent operation on her leg, she does need her exercise levels increased gradually to allow her to recover fully.

A home without any really young children would be best for Mindy to allow her to recover slowly in a calm environment. Her lovely nature means that she will make the perfect addition to any home which has time and love to allow her to continue her recovery.

Her leg is healing well, and she will be back to her usual, full of life, adventurous self in no time at all.

Darmah, cat number 551, is approximately one year old and she arrived at the shelter in May. She loves to see people, she will meow to get your attention, so you can stroke her.

She does enjoy being stroked, however once she’s had enough, she’s quick to let you know.

Darmah is our sassiest lady – she has a very affectionate side as she loves people, but she also has a very independent side where everything she does is on her terms.

Due to Darmah’s independent side, we are looking for a home without young children.
