Attitude of Town squad delights Oliver

-

HEBBURN Town manager Scott Oliver admitted his side’s 4-0 FA Vase first round win over City Liverpool had come at the end of a tough week for his players, writes MARK CARRUTHERS.

The Hornets headed into the game on the back of a 4-1 home defeat against Whitley Bay.

However, thoughts of that game were cast aside as goals from Graeme Armstrong, James Fairley, Louis Storey and Paul Chow helped Oliver’s side see off the North West Counties Premier Division leaders.

Oliver was delighted to see his side come through a tough-looking tie.

He said: “It is about attitude and they were right on Saturday.

“We wanted to right the wrongs of last weekend and all 14 players who played a part were excellent.”
