Hart beating fast in win over West End

HARTON and Westoe CW’s impressive start to the season continued as they produced a fine display to take three points from a much-fancied Sunderland West End.

Goals from Adam Bell, Aaron Coulson and Kyle Oxley helped David Crumbie to a 3-0 win on South Tyneside and ensured they moved to within five points of second-placed West End.

Wolviston sit in between those two sides after they romped to a 9-0 victory at basement club Coxhoe Athletic. Michael McGee, Phil Otele, Stewart Bath and Ryan Hebb all scored twice for Wolviston, an owngoal rounding off a clinical display.

Silksworth CW were held to a 2-2 draw at Boldon CA.

Harry Munday continued his impressive goalscorin­g form with a brace for Silksworth.

However, a point was all they could take from their visit to South Tyneside as Dom Solman and John Murray found the target for Sean Butler’s side. A single goal was all it took for Windscale to secure a precious home win against Darlington Town.

A stunning strike from Matt Pilkington helped the Cumbrian outfit to three points against their fellow strugglers.

Richmond Town came away from Hartlepool FC with an impressive three points as Adam Walker grabbed the only goal.

Leaders Hebburn Town Reserves took a break from league action as finishes from Shaun Carroll, Josh Houghton and Dylan Nesbit gave them a 3-0 home success against West Auckland Tunns in the Total Sport Alan Hood Charity Cup’s second round.

Robbie Renwick claimed a hattrick to put Horden CW on their way to a 6-1 win against Durham and Wearside Developmen­t League side Farringdon Detached.

Adam Elliott, Peter Crawford and and Callum Hodgson were also on the scoresheet as Horden progressed into round two of the TWR Shipowners Charity Cup.
