Don’t allow Hornets to get buzzing

-

NEWCASTLE face an in-form Watford side tomorrow hoping to neutralise the sting of the Hornets attack which has led them to seventh in the Premier League table.

The Magpies drew at St Mary’s last weekend, Dubravka playing well to earn a clean sheet in the process.

It was a solid result away from home and one which was very much required to break the streak of three losses on the bounce and earn the Toon their third point of the season.

Watford travel to St James’ Park on the back of a victory against Newcastle’s relegation rivals Huddersfield but, with luck, a different outcome can be found in this fixture. Huddersfield played poorly in that match and gifted the Hornets many opportunities and the freedom of Vicarage Road – a luxury hopefully they should not have tomorrow.

Watford have not been in great form away from home this season, winning just one of their previous four on the road and displaying a weakness at the back which Newcastle could look to exploit.

Offensively, however, they have shown a lot this season and could well break down the Newcastle back line. If you can envisage goals then both teams to score is available at 10/11.

St James’ Park has not seen a draw yet this campaign and Watford have drawn only one of their league games this year.

Both teams to score no draw, on offer at 2/1, could be worth a consideration if you expect that streak to continue tomorrow.

There was a big boost for Rafa Benitez with the return of on-loan forward Salomon Rondon to the squad.

Newcastle have missed his physicality and hold- up play during his absence, as he offers a something different to the other attacking options currently at the club. Rondon to make a scoring return to action at home is 11/5.
