-

ASTAPLE of the annual Children In Need extravaganza, this star-studded concert kicks off proceedings before tomorrow’s main event. Plenty of A-list celebs rallied to join forces for this show, filmed live at London’s Wembley Arena last week.

Fearne Cotton and Clara Amfo host the varied show, which sees the likes of George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Olly Murs, Tom Odell,

Rita Ora and Sir Rod Stewart take to the stage to help raise money for the charity.

Not only do they perform their latest tracks, but they also perform exclusive covers.

Rita Ora, oozing glamour in a white feathered dress, sings her reimagining of George Michael’s iconic song Freedom.

All Saints perform The Police’s Message In A Bottle, while Jess Glynne covers Hard To Handle by Otis Redding.

Elsewhere, watch out for George Ezra covering Rudimental’s 2018 hit These Days, Olly Murs giving us his take of Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling and Rock Your Body, while Tom Odell sings his version of True Colours by Cyndi Lauper.

The show will also share moving stories from some of the children and young people who are experiencing disadvantage around the UK – such as the story of Connie, nine, who has a cruel degenerative condition but is helped by a Children In Need funded music project.

Olly Murs says: “Children In Rocks 2018 is unmissable TV. A fantastic line-up all coming together to raise money to help support children and young people experiencing disadvantage in the UK.”
