GRIPPING eight-part crime drama previously shown on Netflix. During an afternoon at the beach with her family, a woman called Cora (Jessica Biel) is consumed by a fit of rage and commits a startling and very public act of violence without understand­ing why.

Can Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) find out what made her do it?

In the second part of tonight’s double-bill, Cora tries to block the police investigat­ion, while her husband struggles with secrets from his wife’s past.

DYNASTIES

Tonight, BBC1, 8pm

of the latest edition of the wildlife series really do face a battle to preserve their dynasty – there are only 6,600 of them left in the world.

This episode focuses on matriarch Tait, whose peacekeepi­ng skills have allowed her dynasty to rule over the floodplain­s of the great Zambezi river. However, now she’s getting older, her influence is waning and a new force is emerging from within her clan in the shape of her daughter, Blacktip.

NADIYA’S ASIAN ODYSSEY Monday, BBC1, times vary

IN 2016, a year after winning The Great British Bake Off, Nadiya Hussain filmed The Chronicles of Nadiya, in which she travelled to Bangladesh to explore her culinary roots.

She’s embarking on another epic trip in this new, two-part series, where she explores the people, places and food of Thailand and Cambodia, having discovered she also has links in those countries.

Among her experience­s, Nadiya

finds out how one of Thailand’s top chefs has developed a new take on the country’s tradition of eating insects.

ALISON (Ruth Wilson) is on the tail of the elusive Dorothy – finding photograph­s of her from Alec’s stint in India. After Alec’s handler Coleman reveals that their “relationsh­ip” was likely a cover story, Alison traces Dorothy to Yorkshire and demands to hear the truth. Back in the 1940s, Alison struggles with the aftermath of Alec’s decisions, forced to raise her poverty-stricken young family in wartime London. Iain Glen and Keeley Hawes also star.

HMS BELFAST: WW2’S GREAT SURVIVOR Wednesday, Channel 5, 9pm

ROB BELL continues his celebratio­n of the ships that played a key role in Britain’s history by visiting the Second World War cruiser HMS Belfast, which helped to bring down the Nazis. The sole survivor of the British ships that bombarded the Normandy coast on D-Day, Belfast has been preserved in immaculate condition, as Rob discovers when he gets a chance to fire one of the guns. He also meets veteran John, who was on board the ship when it was attacked by a Nazi mine.

WITH Christmas, the time of miracles, quickly approachin­g,

Professor Noel Fitzpatric­k and his team are back, treating three special canine patients.

One-year-old crossbreed puppy called Tatiana is in need of complex surgery, but with no guarantee of success, it could put her life at risk. Noel also gets to work on eight-year-old Dalmatian Peppa who needs complicate­d work on her spinal cord which could be severed at

any moment. Finally, Luna, a Labrador from Switzerlan­d is having trouble walking. Can Noel restore the dog’s mobility?

JAMIE AND JIMMY’S FRIDAY NIGHT FEAST Friday, Channel 4, 8pm

THE first episode of Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty’s latest series should be out of this world – it features Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker.

Jodie takes up residence in the boys’ cafe, which is a lot smaller than her usual Tardis home. She helps them rustle up roast pork with a double helping of crispy crackling, while an authentic Thai beef massaman curry really tickles her tastebuds – she’s been dreaming of getting another taste of it since she was 18.
