Billy Connolly tries his hand as part of a crocodile response team while showing us around his new home – Florida, USA
FROM staring into the abyss of the Grand Canyon to dancing naked in Orkney, Billy Connolly has certainly seen a lot of the world – and er, we’ve seen a lot of him.
His career has taken him to every corner of the globe, bringing travelogues to us long before almost every TV personality was sent abroad with a camera crew.

Billy says: “It was exactly 25 years ago that I found myself taking the cameras out of the theatres and into the world. BILLY CONNOLLY’S ULTIMATE WORLD TOUR
ITV, 9pm an inimitable guide. Despite his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and recent announcement that he has retired from live performance, there’s no slowing down here.
Touring in his convertible classic car, he goes fishing on the salt flats, tracks crocodiles and sails out on the Everglades.
He meets plenty of larger-thanlife characters too, from a man working for a croc response unit, to a Minister of Rum and men who play tense games of dominoes all day long.
Billy adds: “I’ve been to some magical places, met some wonderful people and had a great time – so relax, get yourself some space on the couch, open up the popcorn and get ready.”
