BILLY CONNOLLY: MADE IN SCOTLAND

BBC2, 9pm

BILLY Connolly has been hailed as the man who changed the face of British comedy forever.

Moving on from the ‘end of the pier’ comedy, Billy, through sheer force of personality, carved out a very different, personal and observational approach.

The two-part series is narrated by Billy, who talks us through his life and career, providing a unique insight into his early influences and motivations.

Starting off in his home town of Glasgow, he tells how it was the people there who changed him from Billy Connolly the welder to Billy Connolly the Big Yin. We also hear from famous fans including Micky Flanagan, Ross Noble, Tracey Ullman and Sharleen Spiteri.

DELICIOUS

SKY ONE, 9pm

THIS soapy drama continues into series three, with more relationship trauma, lies and betrayal in the stunning setting of the Cornish coast.

Starting with the image of a beating heart, dead celebrity chef Leo, played by Iain Glen, continues his narration from beyond the grave.

Gina (Dawn French) and Sam (Emilia Fox) seem to have found a way to work together and are hosting an auction to raise £80,000 for an investment into a spa. But Sam has invited restaurateur Mason Elliott (Vincent Regan), a man oozing so much charm that he should probably get an ointment or something.

Flirting outrageously with both Sam and Gina, the impending trouble is predictable.
