Ship’s Randolph tie proves plain sailing

NEWBIGGIN New Ship sailed to a 3-1 victory over Amble Tavern in the S A Randolph Cup.

Tavern had most of the play but failed to take their chances.

Ross Burt, David Jobson and Liam Halliday scored for the Ship, Josh Hay for the Amble side.

Newsham Victory and Blyth Town Sunday had to settle for a point each in their Premier Division clash.

David Lillico netted for the Vic, Robert Ridley replying for Blyth Town.

Bedlington Social Club defeated Bubbles Ashington 5-0.

On target for the Social Club were Andrew Carr (2), Ryan Stafford, Liam Candlish and Adam Ord.

In Division One, Monkseaton Black Horse held a 1-0 lead at home against Cambois Club for most of the game.

However, Cambois rallied and scored three goals late in the second period.

Andrew Beckers notched for Black Horse, Ben Mordue and James Warnes for Cambois Club.

Cramlingto­n Burton House and Blyth United Services played out a 3-3 draw.

Goals for the Burton House came from John Leonard (2) and Michael Jordan.

On target for the Services were Dean Simmons, James Moore and Paul Huck.

Ellington Plough proved no match for Ashington Town Mortimer, who triumphed 13-0.

Lee Messenger led the scoring for the Mortimer with four counters.

Cameron Elliott hit a hat-trick, Ryan McKee, Daniel Hartshorn and David Brown two each.

Ashington Town Central overcame The Sun Inn 5-1.
