IN THE history of worst excuses ever, Marlon has a pretty good one in today’s episode. Calling in sick at the pub in order to attend the wrestling convention, he tells Chas he’s put his back out picking up a crate of mushrooms.

“It went twang,” he explains. But he’s worried he’s doing the wrong thing by chasing answers from Bear Wolf. Meanwhile, Victoria encourages Matty to talk to Moira, and elsewhere, Graham makes an anonymous phone call to the police.

EASTENDERS BBC1, 8pm

THERE’S bad news on the radio for Mel and Hunter when they hear that a body has been found in the woods.

They’re having dinner with Louise at the time, so they can’t react. But once she’s gone, Mel warns Hunter about how much trouble they are in.

Meanwhile, Jean is really worried when the doctor says she’ll need further tests. Elsewhere, Evie tells Tiffany to take on more jobs and Masood has a proposal for Kathy.

CORONATION STREET ITV, 7.30pm & 8.30pm SHONA is horrified to discover a DVD on her doormat, but what is on it?

Clayton tells her that prison bullies are after her and she needs to help him to stop any trouble. Will she agree to his demands? Meanwhile, Carla is shocked to find Roy sleepwalki­ng in the street and suggests he talks to a profession­al.

Elsewhere, Johnny and Jenny return to the pub where they find everything in chaos and Chesney and Gemma locked in the cellar.
