Are you sure it’s OK to stay in EU?

-

I feel as though I am once again at odds with AW, Gosforth. He appears to think that remaining in the cesspit of corruption EU is better for Britain than leaving (Feedback, February 1).

In that case AW must think it’s OK for our armed forces to be harmonised with the rest of the EU and for conscription of our young people and to be under the control of German and French generals, in effect this means that the EU armed forces can under the Lisbon treaty enter any EU state to put down democratic protests and riots against the EU dictatorship.

AW must also think it’s OK for EU tax harmonisation and setting of VAT rates, and OK to join the Euro zone by 2022.

I have said in previous letters one only has to look at the disastrous effect the Euro has had on Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Spain to realize what a disaster it would be for the UK.

It looks to me as though AW has not even bothered to read any part of the Lisbon treaty or the Maastricht treaty which are easily found online. If he has and is still in love with the EU, I’m afraid he is beyond help.
