A189 Killingworth Road in both directions closed due to major roadworks between West Farm Avenue and A191 Benton Park Road.

A194 Newcastle Road in both directions closed due to roadworks from Elswick Way to B1302 Hudson Street. BY BUS

Killingworth Road, Gosforth, is closed between South Gosforth Roundabout and West Farm Avenue until (approx) summer 2019 to widen the road. Routes 18, 18A, 38, 54, 218, X7, X8 & X63 are diverted via Four Lane Ends. BY METRO

Chichester platform 2 will be closed until about August 2019, due to signalling constraints in place while building work on the new South Shields interchange takes place. During the closure, if you’d like to travel from Chichester towards Pelaw, board a train from platform 1, travel to South Shields and remain on the train. Anyone wishing to leave the train at Chichester after travelling from South Shields should stay on the train to Tyne Dock, change platforms and return to Chichester platform 1.

All day on Sunday 17 February, no trains will run between Haymarket - Regent Centre/Four Lane Ends, to allow for track maintenance. During the work a replacement bus service, number 900 will be calling at or close to all stations between Haymarket - Regent Centre/Four Lane Ends. BY TRAIN

Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the TransPennine Express network, closing some lines overnight. As a result, the following amendments will take place: Monday to Thursday: The 21:00 Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service will not call at Newton-leWillows or Lea Green. Tuesday to Friday: The 04:22 Manchester Airport to Newcastle service will depart Manchester Piccadilly 10 minutes later than usual.
