THE SEA BOOK

by Charlotte Milner, published by DK, hardback £12.99 (ebook £6.99) HHHHH

IN THE same series as The Bee Book, The Sea Book sees illustrator and writer Charlotte Milner explore Earth’s oceanic depths, and what we can do to support them and their ecosystems.

Super colourful and easy to digest, you can flick through and dip-in, easily picking up facts – including “The violet seal snail makes a bubble raft”, and sea cows “greet each other with kisses” – along the way, whether you’re a child or a grown-up.

It’s non-fiction with a conscience too – a section at the back is devoted to ways you can cut down on plastic, including a how-to on making a T-shirt into a reusable shopping bag.

Practical, intriguing and beautiful to peruse.

CLAUDE: ALL ABOUT KEITH

based on the series of books by Alex T Smith, published by Hachette Children’s Group, paperback £6.99 HHHHH CLAUDE is an ordinary dog with an extraordinary life. He’s already featured in a best-selling series of books and now stars in his own TV show on the Disney Junior.

In this bright and colourful storybook, based on the TV series, the pup and his pal Sir Bobblysock are happily taking a stroll in sunny Pawhaven when they come across a lost duckling.

Can the friends keep little Keith happy while their buddy Benny Begonia finds his mummy?

A trip to the cafe and story time at the library should serve as the perfect distraction!

A fun and amusing tale which fans of Claude will love.
