Dealer’s bid to get rid of drugs seen by police

-

A DESPERATE Spice dealer threw his stash out of a window while his mum blocked police from getting through the front door – only to be caught by officers watching from the street outside.

Adum Mohammed ran upstairs and hurled a bag of drugs out of a skylight when officers came calling at his home in Elswick.

But the 22-year-old’s attempt to dispose of his stash was rumbled when police witnessed the whole thing from the street.

Just four days after pleading guilty to the drugs offences, Mohammed threw a glass into another man’s face on the dance floor of Newcastle’s House of Smith nightclub after a 12-hour drinking session.

The street dealer has now been sentenced to 26 months in prison after pleading guilty to assault causing grievous bodily harm, possession of cannabis and Spice with intent to supply and possession of cocaine.

Newcastle Crown Court heard police arrived to execute a warrant at a house in York Street in July 2017.

Prosecutor David Comb said: “The defendant’s mother did what she could to obstruct the police, blocking the door and shouting, ‘Adum, up the stairs.’”

The court heard that Mohammed managed to get to an upstairs bedroom and throw a bag of drugs out of a skylight onto the roof – but the whole thing was witnessed by officers standing outside.
