Really is all mouth

-

beatbox while walking, doing dishes, or anywhere you don’t need to be quiet. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t beatbox for a whole day.

“The college has been extremely helpful. The course and my beatboxing go hand-in-hand as I can use samples from my own mouth in production and I can use the skills learned in classes to professionally record myself.

“In fact, the entry video for Beatbox To World was recorded and edited in college using the amazing equipment I have access to. Without that video I might not have got the chance to go to South Korea.”

Joe will swap Tyneside for South East Asia on Wednesday after generous donors rallied to fund his travel.

The beatboxer is determined to make everyone who contributed proud, and plans to put together a “shout out” video after the competition to thank everyone who donated.

Joe finished: “There are very few beatboxers from the UK that are well known and only two who are on the international scene.

“As a result people don’t often view the UK as a place where you might find a group of good beatboxers – just a few great ones and nothing else.

“I want to be a part of changing that and show the world that the UK is going to become a powerhouse for beatboxing.”
