ALIENS ARRIVE – BUT DO THEY COME IN PIECES

-

LEGO fans can prepare once more for battle with the launch of The Lego 2: The Movie Videogame, set for release on March 1 for PlayStation4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows (and Nintendo Switch on March 15).

The LEGO-themed action-adventure game from TT Fusion and Warner Bros is based on this year’s hit film and will follow the gameplay of the original LEGO Movie Videogame, but with new characters and refined combat mechanics.

The storyline sees Bricksburg reduced to ruins by alien invaders. It is up to Emmet and a host of other heroic characters to go beyond their world to save their friends from the strange inhabitants of the Systar System.

Worlds and characters from both films will be featured in the game, in which players create a collection of structures to gain access to new levels. The game will also include scenes from the film.

Players can journey into outer-space, discover new worlds and mysterious characters like General Mayhem and Rex Dangervest – there are more than 100 playable characters to be enjoyed and unlocked.

They can build special LEGO objects to discover new areas and items, uncovering new structures, rewards and missions. Special combos can also be learned to unleash a unique attack for each character.

Priced £34.99, it is aimed at children aged seven and over.
