ASHLEY MUST MOVE FAST TO MAKE FUTURE SHINE BRIGHT

AMID much ado about yet another great escape remains a reality which is not lost on Geordie souls.

While results have taken a turn for the better and a new hero has been bought in at £21m, we all know there is still plenty to address at Newcastle.

Because the reality is as things stand United’s two leaders are due to leave at the end of the season – Rafa Benitez upon the completion of his contract for an uncertain future and top scorer Salomon Rondon to return to his parent club West Bromwich.

Fans wish both to stay with a vengeance. They wish to stay so what are we waiting for?

Then there are two lesser imposing figures who are eyeing the exit – Mo Diame embroiled in a contract tug of war and in-form Isaac Hayden, who wishes to depart for family reasons.

Much for yo-yo man Mike Ashley to sort out... if he ever gets round to it. Derelictio­n of duty springs to mind.

All this is before we consider what budget Ashley may deem decent for United’s manager to cement foundation­s and begin to build.
