Dan’s the man in Belle Vue’s five-star show

BELLE Vue triumphed 5-0 at Birtley The Hanlon in the Premiershi­p.

Dan Candlish hit a hat-trick for Belle Vue, John Dewhurst grabbing the other two goals.

Alistair Wilson scored twice for Crawcrook Albion in their 5-2 win against Sheriff Hill Three Tuns.

Niall Codling, Ryan Burnyeat and Tom Lippeatt were also on target for Albion.

Goals from David Donnelly and Robert Allen were not enough for The Tuns.

In Division One, A1 Allerdene remain in top spot after an 8-0 victory against Holmeside.

Sam McKenry, Kieran McPherson and a Dean Stewart penalty gave Allerdene a three-goal half -time lead.

The second period belonged to Martin Summersatt, who scored five times to complete the scoring.

Leam Lane WMC are through to the final of the Premier Division Cup thanks to a 2-0 success over Thomas Wilson.

Second-half counters from Peter Mulholland and Tony Falconer secured the victory.

Meeting them in the final will be Stormont Main following their victory on penalties against Whickham Coachman.

The game ended 1-1 after extra time, Barry Latimer on target for The Coachies and Ben Miller registerin­g for Main.

Anthony Brewis converted the last spot kick in the shoot-out to send Main into the final.

In the last four of the Division One Cup, Nursery House made light work of Leam Rangers, winning 5-0.

David Reay put away a hat-trick of penalties, Elliott Hancock adding the other two.

Also into the decider are Saltwell SC, who overcame Whickham Bay Horse after extra time.

Bay Horse opened the scoring through Kevin Hay but were pegged back with only seven minutes remaining when Luke Steel equalised.

In extra time, strikes from Tom Harvey, Kieran Molloy and Jordan Stevens steered Saltwell through 4-1.
