Four-goal Rennoldson a very Andy performer

ANDREW Rennoldson scored four times as Consett Scotch Arms dismissed Shotley Cricketers 10-1 in the Jack Grigg Memorial Trophy.

Dan Walker (3), Adam Knowles, Joe Johnson and David Parker were also on the mark for Arms, Dan Reed replying.

East Stanley WMC were also emphatic winners, thumping Stanley Ball Alley 8-1 thanks to Kai Hewitson (2), Jamie Leathard (2), Coilin Snailham (2), Luke Gilbert and Jonny Hewitson, Kasey Glendinnin­g with the consolatio­n.

Oxhill Central were 5-2 victors at Consett The Barn courtesy of goals from Kieron Gohery (2), Scott Johnson, Jon Davies and Callum Boakes. Liam Davison and Anthony McConnell netted for The Barn.

South Moor Sports needed penalties to overcome Castleside Horse and Groom after the game ended 1-1 after extra time - Craig Paley for Moor and Jeff Maguire for Horse and Groom.

Consett Top Club squeezed past Consett Station WMC 3-2, Shaun Redmond andJosh Scott nabbing the counters for the victors and Damon Freeman and Jeremie Anderson-Dacosta for Station.

Dan Robinson netted four times as Crookhall Beck triumphed 7-2 against Stanley RAFA,

Aiden Forster, Stephen Dilley and Tom Lavery also hit the mark for Beck, as did Stephen Bone and Liam Ridley for the RAFA.

Dean Bruce and Nathan Coates scored for Consett Supa-Snooker as they overcame Burnopfiel­d Sun Inn 2-1, Kris Box with the Inn’s consolatio­n effort.
