COACHMAN STAY AT THE TOP AFTER HAMMERING ALBION GATESHEAD SUNDAY LG

-

WHICKHAM Coachman remain top of the Premier League after winning 10-0 against Crawcrook Albion.

Stephen Hall scored four with Andrew Davidson bagging a brace.

Also on target were Dale Robson, Edward Keenan, Craig Cavanagh and David Loughlin.

It was certainly a game of two halves in the seven-goal clash between Stormont Main and Blue Star.

Goals from Liam Graham, Joe Joyce and Brandon Lawther gave Stormont Main a three-goal lead at the break.

However, a superb fightback from Star saw Owen Brearton and James Bowman score twice each as they edged the game 4-3.

Birtley The Hanlon celebrated a 3-1 victory at Highwayman.

In the only game in Division One, Whickham Bay Horse cemented fourth place with a 15-0 win at Inter XI. Kevin Hay top-scored with five goals, Marc Udale hitting a hat-trick.

Other scorers for Bay Horse were Micky Robson, Benjamin Jones, Lee Robinson, Mark Cooper, Alex Gascogne, Mark Thompson and Ryan Cowan.

Leam Lane WMC are through to their second final of the season thanks to a 5-2 win over Felling CC in the last four of the Bob Curry Cup.

Leam Lane were awarded an early penalty but Jonathan Hirst sent his spot kick wide of the upright.

Hirst quickly made amends when, minutes later, he scored from the edge of the area.

Joe Reed doubled Leam’s advantage before half-time.

Tony Falconer added a third, then Joe Mole a fourth before Felling pulled one back through Alex Brown.

Connor Halpin put away goal number five for Leam Lane but Felling never gave up and Brown grabbed his and Felling’s second counter.

Meeting Leam in the final will be Thomas Wilson, who overcame Belle Vue 2-1.

Strikes from Joe Wrangham and Sam Fraser took the Wilson through.
