Supa truly Snookered by Mill’s five-star display

BLACKHALL Mill and Chopwell romped to a 5-0 victory over Consett Supa-Snooker in the Jack Grigg Memorial Trophy.

Scott Johnson (2), Jamie Watson, Dean Hendry and John Meadows were the players on target.

Also 5-0 winners were East Stanley WMC, this time against Stanley Ball Alley in the Consett Charity Cup.

Stanley’s marksmen were Colin Snailham (2), Daryl Richardson, Dean Pearce and Jamie Leathard.

In the same competitio­n there were 4-1 successes for Consett Scotch Arms and Consett The Barn against Handenhold Bird Inn and Tantobie Oak Tree respective­ly.

Dan Walker (2), Andy Rennoldson and an own goal proved enough for Arms, Tom Illlingwor­th replying for Bird Inn.

The Barn’s victory was secured thanks to strikes from David Carrington, Jordan Murray, Anthony McConnell and Liam Davison.

Sam Harvey claimed Tree’s consolatio­n.

In DIvision One, Consett Top Club edged out Winlaton Crown and Cannon 4-3.

Michael Profit, Michael Bell, Dan Parker and Andy McIntosh scored for Top Club, Matty Grayson, Callum Carter and Mark Dodds for Crown and Cannon.

Consett Station WMC defeated Shotley Cricketers 3-2 in Division Two, Jeremie Anderson-Dacosta (2) and Paul James for the winners and Peter Leech and Joe Leech notching for the Cricketers.
