Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Manchester Victoria, and also around Liverpool Lime Street, closing lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning. Tuesday to Friday: The 05:03 Manchester Airport to Newcastle service will be diverted, not calling at Manchester Oxford Road or Manchester Victoria. The train will depart Manchester Piccadilly 5 minutes later than usual, at 05:22. The 05:20 Liverpool Lime Street to Newcastle service will depart earlier at 04:57, and will be diverted to run on an alternative route, not calling at Lea Green, Newton-le-Willows or Manchester Victoria. The train will additionally call at Manchester Piccadilly at 05:40, and Stalybridge at 06:03.
Engineering work is taking place between Morpeth and Alnmouth, closing all lines tomorrow and Sunday. CrossCountry: Rail replacement road transport will operate between Morpeth and stations to Edinburgh. LNER: An hourly service will run to/from Scotland via Carlisle, extending journey times by up to 90 minutes. Other services between London Kings Cross and Scotland will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle only. Customers may use CrossCountry trains/replacement buses for stations between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Northern: Tomorrow, buses will be provided between Morpeth and Chathill. On Sunday, there are no alterations.
