HIGH HOWDON SC pocketed the Tommy Towers Team Knockout Championship - the last of the season’s competitions in the North Shields Snooker League - with a 169-120 victory over Heaton Meadowfield.

Played at King St SC, the final was contested over a three-frame aggregate score.

Gary Parkin got former champions Howdon off to a flyer with a comfortable 62-27 win against Chris Logan.

With all three frames played to the final black. the match between Michael Barsanti and Steve Graham could not have been closer Barsanti triumphing 72-60 to keep Meadowfield only 23 points in arrears.

With the singles, Six Reds and highest break prizes already under his belt, Howdon’s star performer Mark Livingstone came to the table to take on John Harper.

He never played anywhere near his best but still sealed the frame 47-21 to clinch the match victory.
